Founded in 2014, Hyla Strategies (formerly Beachy Media) is a 360° marcom firm devoted to elevating socially responsible companies that are creating a more sustainable and kind future. Inspired by “hyle,” the Greek word for matter, Hyla embodies the essence of nature while nodding to our skillset of crafting substantive strategies for clients in the B2B, B2C, and philanthropic sectors.
With a passion for the environment and a commitment to ethical marketing, Hyla Strategies’ innovative approach crafts powerful narratives that amplify a client’s mission.
Beachy serves as a communications and marketing strategist whose career has spanned film, television, publishing, public relations, and digital brand development. She founded Hyla Strategies in 2014.
Since starting Hyla Strategies, Beachy has overseen brand marketing initiatives and communications strategies for B2B and B2C companies at various stages of development—from Shark Tank start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Her earned media strategies have landed clients in national and international press including BBC, NPR, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Good Morning America.
Prior to Hyla Strategies, she served as a publicist for health and climate publishing house Rodale (acquired by Hearst). Her feature-length documentary about her hometown was a three-time film festival finalist and runs yearly on PBS stations across Pennsylvania.
Beachy is a passionate advocate, volunteer, and donor to progressive causes. She focuses her community outreach on addressing food insecurity within the NY/NJ region. She can usually be found somewhere outside running, swimming, or biking.
